Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Introducing Barley!
This handsome kitty came to AFRP after Hitchcock Road Animal Services reached out for help with a kitty who had some skin troubles! Now in a loving foster home and after receiving the medical care needed, Barley is ready to find his furever home!
Barley is a sweet, well-behaved gentleman with a gentle soul. He’s not one to cause trouble and he rarely jumps on counters or seeks out high places. Instead, he prefers the simple pleasures in life: soft behind-the-ear scratches, cozy napping spots, and peaceful window views where he can watch the world go by.
Barley is a shy boy at heart, so he’ll need a quiet, patient home where he can come out of his shell at his own pace. Once he feels safe, he’ll reward you with affection and a love for pets that will melt your heart. He’s the kind of cat who may not ask for attention right away but when he does, it’s truly special.
He would love to find a home with adult adopters, or with families who have cat-savvy older children at this time. It is currently unknown how he may do in a home with dogs or cats, but may be fine with proper introductions.
Barley is currently in a foster home. A meet and greet can be scheduled once an online application has been submitted and approved. Please visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org to complete an application today!

Additional adoption info
Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.
All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
