Here's what the humans have to say about me:
HEY THERE, HOUND LOVERS!
Meet Frank! Frank is a middle aged, coonhound who needs all the help he can get to find his forever home! 75 pounds of joyful, exuberance can be too much for some people to handle! Frank the Tank is looking for a home with a fenced in yard to romp and play! He's gotten along well with female dogs and would be happiest with an active dog to play with. Frank is HOUSETRAINED and is working hard to maintain his manners even though he is now kenneled. In his former home, he slept in the bed was a well behave, loving roommate!
Frank is not going to be a fit for every home (NO CATS FOR SURE!) but we only need to find one big hearted, hound savvy, dog lover to give him is happy ending!
Frank's status is somewhat TIME SENSITIVE as he is fostering with our president who cannot provide long term care for another dog at this time.
A reduced adoption fee of $100 does apply for Frank, our seniors, special medical and behavioral needs dogs and other "slow to adopt" dogs!
Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
