This helps Forgotten Cats, Inc. with pet care costs.
Sweet Silas Gentlepaw is such a gentle soul. His favorite things are being petted & head scratches. He likes to be around his people and is fine with other cats. Please check out his short video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/EGnmu4nvIZw .
As evidenced by the scarring on his face and head, Silas has had a rough life on the streets. That's all behind him now as he is safe with Forgotten Cats. Silas is patiently waiting for the family that will appreciate his loving, affectionate personality.
Update: Silas has been playing with his new foster family. His foster mom says, 'Silas is doing great. He is a playful little guy and absolutely LOVES his tunnel toy. He spends a lot of his time sitting in the window bed on 'bird patrol.'
Silas will sing to you for attention but will give you a nip if you don’t follow his petting rules. He loooooves his head and neck area scratched. He doesn’t love his back side pet, but I’ve been getting him to warm up to all over body rubs.
Silas gets along well with our resident cat, and they play together just fine. I think he would do great with other cats.
However, he is not a fan of our energetic dog. We have a separate room in our home for Silas so he has space where he’s comfortable without the dog around. I’m not sure what his history with dogs, is but he doesn’t like ours.
Silas takes Denamarin once a day for his liver. I usually give it to him with his dinner. I hold him up so he’s standing on his back paws and just pop the pill in his mouth and rub his neck.'
Silas is FIV+, but that is no big deal! We have found that FIV+ cats tend to be extra lovey-dovey and can live long, healthy lives. FIV+ cats can also live and play with non-FIV+ cats
Does it sound as if Silas may be the cat for you? Please submit our no-obligation application for a meet and greet or to adopt to find out: https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/ . Thank you! (Foster: Audrey F.).
