Foster Time Frame: 2 Weeks (The foster time frame could be longer depending on future medical results and needs.)
Foster Care Plan: Sunny is currently being treated for an upper respiratory infection, which is similar to a common cold. The suspected underlying infectious cause is Feline Herpes Virus. Since she is contagious to other pets, we strongly recommend keeping her in a separate, dedicated space such as a spare bathroom or bedroom. Sunny is currently taking Fortiflora, Famciclovir, and Doxycycline for the next 14 days. She will go to her foster home with medication and she will also have a medical consult upon pickup. Operation Kindness Foster Team will supply all items necessary for a successful foster journey.
Foster to Adopt: Sunny is available through our Foster to Adopt program, which allows pets awaiting or undergoing medical treatment to be placed with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please visit https://www.operationkindness.org/foster/ or email us at foster@operationkindness.org to learn more.
Sunny is looking for a loving foster home to help her recover while we await her test results and receives medical treatment.
