My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Britches is a petite, sweet dilute Calico kitty with soft fur that's perfect for snuggles and pets! She loves being held like a baby, spending time with people and taking naps in a soft bed or blanket. She loves catnip toys and is looking for someone ready to give her all the pets in the world! She's a gentle, curious kitty and likes to check out new places but her favorite thing in the world is getting loved on by her human. She gets along well with other cats, is brave around dogs and gets along with everyone. She's currently located at our Tomlinson's cattery (3300 Bee Caves Rd #490, Austin, TX 78746) where you can visit her and some of our other kitties available for adoption! Britches would love some company if you'd like to come give her pets during store hours.

Britches is a little wobby on her feet when she walks but it doesn't stop her from running, playing and rolling over for belly rubs. She has a congenital neurological condition called CH (Cerebellar Hypoplasia). CH doesn't stop cats from living normal lives and Britches has passed her physical exam without any concerns. Her only limitation is that she usually fails to make it all the way up when she attempts to jump up on things. She will happily ask you to pick her up so she can cuddle next to you on the couch or in the bed during movie night.

If you have any questions, reach out to Britches' foster mom, Jesse (jesseblack713@gmail.com) or fill out an application online!

Submit Application

Go to our website Austinsiameserescue.org. Click adopt under the interested pet and this will take you to the application.

Additional adoption info

Interested adopters go through a careful screening process to include reference checks, telephone interviews, and where appropriate, home visits. No cat will be placed in a new home which allows cats to go outside. The adoptive owners agree to give Austin Siamese Rescue, Inc. the option of reclaiming the cat, should the adoption not work to the advantage of the new owner and the cat.

Adoption fees for Austin Siamese Rescue, Inc. range from $100 to $225 and include such vet work as combo test, vaccinations, worming and flea control, and microchip. We spay or neuter all of our cats prior to placement and most of our kittens, depending on their size and readiness.

For more detailed information and our adoption policies, see the Adoption Info section of our web page.

More about this rescue

Founded in 2007, Austin Siamese Rescue is a dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on rescuing and rehoming Siamese cats and their non-Siamese companions. Our goal is to provide a safe haven for cats from various backgrounds, including shelters, abandoned, and neglectful situations, as well as those whose guardians can no longer care for them.

All of our cats are cared for in private homes by dedicated volunteers who offer their time and love to ensure each cat receives the best possible care. We are committed to finding loving, permanent homes where these cats can thrive and be cherished for the rest of their lives.

At Austin Siamese Rescue, we believe every cat deserves a second chance at happiness and a life filled with love. Through our rescue efforts and community support, we aim to make a positive impact on the lives of the cats we serve and the families who welcome them into their homes.
