Meet Rutherford! This confident former stray is ready to find his forever home. Rutherford loves pets and face rubs. He will follow you around just to enjoy hanging out, although he isn't much for cuddling.
The best way to befriend Rutherford is through play. His favorite hobby is chasing wands, teaser toys, and laser pointers. He would do best in a home that can engage him in active play often. He also has fun watching birds and squirrels out the window. He is a chatty cat and is happy to share his opinions on everything.
Despite being chatty, like a portion of all-white cats, Rutherford is fully deaf. This doesn’t inhibit him at all, and like most cats that ignore you when you call them, you probably won’t even notice. Rutherford can be a bit of a bully towards other pets, and he would do best going to a home where he can thrive as the solo cat. He hasn’t been fostered with children, but we suspect that he would do just fine with respectful kiddos.
Rutherford is a gentleman who uses the litter box perfectly, but he does have a tendency to kick the litter around, making a high walled litter box preferable for keeping things clean. He is currently on an over the counter maintenance ear drop that he gets 1-2x weekly to prevent waxy buildup. He tolerates the drops easily if offered his favorite treat, a Temptation puree.
Rutherford is estimated to be four years old. He is neutered, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Are you looking for a beautiful, interactive cat? Please apply for Rutherford today!

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.
Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
