Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hey there! The name’s Lilith, but don’t let the name fool you—I’m no troublemaker, just a paw-sitively amazing companion looking to leave my mark (preferably on your lap, ahem). I’ve got the energy of a rockstar and the charm of a superstar, and trust me, once you meet me, you`ll know I’m a fur-tune worth chasing.
I’m as sweet as a treat jar, but don’t let my soft eyes and floppy ears fool you—I’ve got a bite when it comes to playtime. Tennis balls? I fetch them with the precision of a major league athlete. Squeaky toys? You bet I’ll squeak until the cows come home. And yes, I’m paw-sitively obsessed with belly rubs! The only thing I love more than a good rub-down is the snuggles that come with it.
I do take my job as your loyal sidekick very seriously, so get ready for me to follow you around like your shadow. I’ll be there during Netflix binges (I’ve got great taste in shows, just ask me), during walks (because let’s face it, you need me there to keep the squirrels at bay), and during every snack time (I’m an expert at giving those “sad puppy eyes” for extra bites).
While I’m all about playtime and fun, I’m also a pro at naps. I’ll curl up in a ball and leave you in awe of my ability to nap anywhere—the couch, the floor, your lap...you name it, I’m there. And if you happen to move? I’ll follow. I might be a bit of a `stage-five clinger,` but that’s just because I love being close to you.
Now, a few things you should know: I’m incredibly smart (maybe I can outsmart you in a game of fetch...just saying), a little bit mischievous (but in the cutest way, of course), and I might take a minute to warm up to new people. But once we’re friends? I’m your girl, through and through. Just give me time to settle in, and I’ll be the most loyal, loving companion you could ever ask for.
So, if you’re looking for a dog who’s as fun as she is fluffy, as sweet as she is sassy, and as full of love as she is energy...I think we might just be fur-ever meant to be.
Lilith’s the name, love’s the game. Ready to play?

More about this shelter
The Animal Defense League was established in 1934 by a group of individuals, “for the prevention of cruelty to animals; to promote kind and humane treatment of animals; and to aid and assist the enforcement of laws enacted for the prevention of animal cruelty.”
In 1961, ADL moved to its present location in the easily accessible northeast part of San Antonio. Its campus encompasses more than 12 acres and includes a two-acre pet park. On the property is an Adoption Center with a small retail store, and a separate 5,000 square-foot Clinic which houses our veterinary hospital that provides onsite spay/neuter surgery, surgery for injured and ill animals, and ongoing medical care for all ADL resident animals.
