My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by a community member on February 8, 2025.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Tattypoo, a playful and energetic young pup! She has a gentle soul and a tender heart, and can be a bit shy with new faces and places. With some patience and love, she comes out of her shell and shows her sweet, adventurous spirit. Tattypoo loves attention from her people, often seeking out affectionate pets. Her foster family reports that she adores being with other dogs, playing with toys, riding in the car and showing off her zoomies. She will benefit from a calm, structured home that can continue her positive reinforcement training. Adopting Tattypoo will not only give her a chance at a loving home, but will also bring joy, warmth and unconditional love to yours. If you're interested in adding a bit of sweetness to your life, inquire about Tattypoo today!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
