My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Niko as surrendered to the shelter on 4/8/2025. His back story was they the family rescued him from another area where he was being starved. He was given to the persons mother but she is much older and a young bigger dog was too much for her to handle. We believe Niko to be a Ridgeback/Boxer mix, but we can't guarantee that just basing it off of his looks. Niko is around 10 months old, house trained, neutered and up to date. Niko does great with everyone and lived with two cats in the woman's home. Seems to be doing fine around the other dogs here so far. He is very high energy so would need an active home. A fenced yard or a place away from the city would be the best for him. This sweet boy would like to finally find a loving home where he can stay and grow old with them. Adoption fee is $150

More about this shelter

Our shelter is staffed by only a few employees so we greatly depend on volunteers to help care for our animals.
We work very closely with rescue groups to help move our dogs out of the shelter quickly. Our goal is to never have to euthanize for space. We cannot do that without rescue assistance because our adoption rates are very low.
