My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Snowy is an adorable little rabbit looking for a loving family who will welcome and cherish him for his uniqueness.
Despite his small disability, he lives just like any other rabbit, he grooms himself, is clean, and has a healthy appetite. Snowy especially loves hay and salad, and is gradually discovering new vegetables like celery and basil. He also enjoys treats from time to time (fresh or dried carrots, or bunny treats) and likes to nibble on wooden balls made for rabbits.
Snowy lives freely and needs space to keep building muscle and maintaining his balance. He moves around comfortably on blankets and rugs, but tends to avoid hardwood floors, as they are too slippery for him.
In terms of personality, Snowy is affectionate. He enjoys gentle head rubs, long strokes along his back, and resting against you during cuddle time. He also loves napping at your feet when you’re on the couch.
Snowy needs a family who can give him attention and time, so he can live the most comfortable life possible.

More about this shelter

Founded in Montreal in 1869, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (now known simply as the Montreal SPCA) was the first animal-welfare organization in Canada. It is not known under whose influence the society was formed, but its history acknowledges assistance from animal-welfare societies in France, England and the United States. In its early years, the SPCA concentrated primarily on improving the treatment of work horses, which were used all across the island of Montreal. The SPCA later began working on additional issues, such as humane dog control, cock-fighting and the killing of wild birds. The SPCA has come a long way since its beginnings: today, it is the largest animal-protection organization in Quebec, speaking on behalf of animals wherever there is ignorance, cruelty, exploitation or neglect.
