My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Greetings and Salutations from Limington, Maine!

My name is Yoshi, but I’ve also been called Sprinkle, and I’m a little bit famous, even if I do say so myself.

Under my “stage name” Sprinkle, I was in the PUPPY BOWL! Yes, that puppy bowl!

I got adopted after, but unfortunately, my adopting family couldn’t keep me due to a very sad medical situation They loved me but could not take care of me. Everyone tells me it wasn’t my fault, and sometimes humans get in situations where they can’t keep their furry friends with them. Lucky for me, a few rescues got together and figured out a way to help.

I am currently up at Pawgwarts in Maine, getting some training on how humans expect me to behave. Sometimes learning things is a little harder for me because I’m deaf, but I try really hard and everyone says I’m doing well. I’m learning all sorts of important things like sit, down, place, stay, and how to walk on a leash. I really like playing with other dogs! I love people too.

About Yoshi:

Yoshi is deaf, and is currently in training for basic manners as well as the use of a vibrating collar to help his future family communicate with him. He would love an active family who has either a fenced yard or the ability to take him for walks every day.

Potential adopters will need to spend some time with his trainers reviewing his signals and best practices when working with a deaf dog. Although he was reported to guard high value items by his previous owner, we have not seen any of that behavior. HIs trainers can help advise on best practices to prevent resource guarding in puppies. He is housebroken, neutered and current on immunizations.

There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family.
