My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lyra is spayed and fully vaccinated (RHDV2). Her est. DOB 10/23/21. She was transferred to us from a dog/cat rescue and has been waiting way too long for a home to call her own! She has been a huge hit at every event she has attended and is thriving at her current foster home. She does not do well in a group foster environment. She doesn’t mind medium chaos as long as she’s still star of the show (or at least shares the spotlight). No fading into the background for her!

She would make a wonderful addition to a home that her lots of love & attention. She would most likely do best in a home with adults and/or older children.

*Many of our animals are also available for fostering including foster-to-adopt options. If you are interested in fostering, please complete our online foster application. If interested in adoption, please complete our online adoption application. Both links can be found at linktr.ee/thesqueaks.

More about this rescue

USQKS is a foster-based 501c3 small animal rescue & sanctuary.

Our History:

Before USQKS, our founder worked in active Guinea Pig Rescue. From there, the active Small Animal Rescue journey started with a… mouse! From there, the journey to becoming a Small Animal Rescue & Sanctuary expanded to hamsters, gerbils, rats and more. That journey then led to chinchillas and last, but not least, domesticated rabbits!
