Birthdate: 07/19/2023
Breed: One of a kind
Special in every way, we couldn't wait to get our hands on this handsome angel baby. Scheduled to be euthanized because he has CH (cerebellar hypoplasia), when we got the call we knew we had to save HEMMY. CH is a neurological disorder that affects coordination. It's not painful or contagious, and it will never get worse. Our first look at Hemmy showed him to be a loving, determined kitten - a real "side-winder" who will throw his legs to the side and propel himself forward to reach us at all costs. He loves balls that jingle and chases toys like every other kitten, but what he loves best is love. Excited to greet us every time we meet, both in and out of our arms his "deficits" are endearing and we only see a surplus of gratitude and love.
Coming back into our care when a situation in his home kept him more isolated than his adopter had wanted for him, we are thrilled by how far he has come physically! Stronger and capable in every way, the one thing that hasn't changed is his capacity to love us. We can't wait for you to meet him!
**Hemmy is currently in foster locally. We'd be happy to arrange for you to meet him.**
Before you can adopt, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/36923/generic! Once your questionnaire is pre-approved, you will be able to meet our pets. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants.
