Introducing Accel, an all-black, three-year-old boy who’s built like a teddy bear and just as cuddly! Born on March 26, 2022, this charming gentleman is all about cozying up with his humans. Whether he’s napping on your chest while you read or greeting you with his adorable little “meow” when you walk through the door, Accel’s love language is pure affection. Though he enjoys a good play session, especially with beanie toys, his heart belongs to snuggle time and long, blissful naps.
Accel takes his job as a lap cat very seriously and will really earn his keep by being a moderately effective book holder while lying on the chest of the reader. Sure, he might accidentally flip a page with his big, sleepy paws now and then, but he insists it’s part of the editing process.
You may notice that Accel has a unique physical feature that sets him apart from other black cats - his left eye looks a little darker and more amber toned than his right eye. In some light it looks like he has one green eye and one amber eye. The vet assured us that this is nothing to be concerned about. The eye is stable and requires no treatment. It is just a distinguinshing feature!
Accel has been in a loving home since the Summer of 2022, but unfortunately was returned with his sister, Acua, due to changing family dynamics and a person with severe feline allergies. Accel’s ideal home would include his sister Acua, who has been his partner in crime and cuddle buddy all their lives. They complement each other so well—Acua’s adventurous streak with Accel’s laid-back sweetness makes for the perfect pair.
