10 weeks old Ella was part of an "oops" litter of an unfixed mama dog belonging to a kind hearted homeless lady. Ella was only 4 weeks old, when she was found running on the streets, when our team member saved her from getting hit by a car. Soon after her littermates were located and they were brought to our rescue.
Despite her rough start, Ella is a playful puppy, who loves humans and other furry friends, and trusts everyone easily.
Ella and her four siblings are being taken care of by their foster mom who brought them all slowly back to health.
Ella is a high-energy pup with a curious personality. Exploring her surroundings and chasing after anything that moves. New toys grab her attention instantly Ella thrives in the company of other dogs, jumping right into group play and keeping the energy up. She loves fast-paced games, tug-of-war, and running in circles chasing her tail. She will benefit from a home with a second playful pup.
Ella is about 10 lb, and growing. She is current on his vaccination, is microchipped and kept on deworming schedule, and heartworm and flea preventatives. She will need one more shot to complete his vaccination cycle.
Ella is currently being fostered in Houston, but can be transported to any state in USA to the right home. Canadian applicants will need to pick her up from the US side due to Canada's law that prohibits transport of puppies under 8 months in vans.
To adopt our puppies, yards, if any, must be fully and adequately fenced. We do not accept invisible or electric fences.
Adoption applications are available at savesomesouls.com, and if shortlisted as a match, we will reach out to you to schedule a facetime or video chat to meet our pups.
Her adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, Harness and Interstate Health Certificate for our out of state adopters.
Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.

More about this rescue
Our animal rescue section has been organized with very compassionate and dedicated volunteers whose only goal is to save a pet.
Each day hundreds of healthy, adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized in the kill-shelters of America. In Houston itself, we have the largest population of strays and our shelters are full with strays and abandoned animals including those surrendered by their owners because of reasons such as unwillingness to take care of them, pregnancy, divorce, loss of job, loss of home, prison intake, loss of compassion, empathy, you name it. Add to this, are abandoned pets on the side of the street by owners. Our mission is to give these puppies another chance at love and life. If every person will stop buying from breeders and adopt a shelter pet and spay and neuter them, we will be able to eradicate our euthanasia problem.
