10 weeks old Everett was part of an "oops" litter of an unfixed mama dog belonging to a kind-hearted homeless lady.
Everett and his littermates were suffering from sarcoptic mange and fully dehydrated when they were found by one of our team members who brought them all to our rescue.
Everett is a lively and playful pup with a big personality packed into a small body. He’s full of energy and curiosity, always ready to explore, chase toys, and run around with other dogs.
Everett has a soft side that craves affection. He doesn’t like being left out and can get a little velcro,
Everett is about 10 lb, and growing. He is current on his vaccination, is microchipped and kept on deworming schedule, and heartworm and flea preventatives. He will need one more shot to complete his vaccination cycle. He is going to be neutered before leaving for his adoptive home.
He can be transported to any state in USA and Canada. Canadian applicants will need to pick him up from the US side due to Canada's law that prohibits transport of puppies under 8 months in vans.
To adopt our puppies, yards, if any, must be fully and adequately fenced. We do not accept invisible or electric fences.
Adoption applications are available at savesomesouls.com, and if shortlisted as a match, we will reach out to you to schedule a facetime or video chat to meet our pups.
Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.

More about this rescue
Our animal rescue section has been organized with very compassionate and dedicated volunteers whose only goal is to save a pet.
Each day hundreds of healthy, adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized in the kill-shelters of America. In Houston itself, we have the largest population of strays and our shelters are full with strays and abandoned animals including those surrendered by their owners because of reasons such as unwillingness to take care of them, pregnancy, divorce, loss of job, loss of home, prison intake, loss of compassion, empathy, you name it. Add to this, are abandoned pets on the side of the street by owners. Our mission is to give these puppies another chance at love and life. If every person will stop buying from breeders and adopt a shelter pet and spay and neuter them, we will be able to eradicate our euthanasia problem.
