My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Snickers!
Snickers is a strikingly handsome small terrier mix—born on January 24, 2025, and now an energetic, affectionate 18-pound pup who’s ready to find his forever home.

He was found as a younger pup straying with two other dogs, and despite that rough start, Snickers has grown into a sweet, playful companion. Snickers can be very terrified of new people and will need slow, gentle introductions to feel safe. But once he warms up, he becomes incredibly affectionate—happily hopping into laps and even enjoying “helping” with computer work alongside people he trusts.

Snickers is dog-friendly and truly shines in his play group, where he loves to run, explore, and have fun with his canine buddies. He’s food-motivated, eager to learn, and always excited for backyard zoomies or time with his toys.

He does need some work on his potty training, but with a consistent schedule, he’ll continue to improve and show just how capable he is.

Snickers is neutered, fully vetted, and ready to go.
If you’re patient, gentle, and looking for a loyal companion who will bond deeply once he feels safe, Snickers may be the perfect match for you. 🐾💛

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
