You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

All of our adoptable animals are up to date on routine vaccinations, microchipped and spayed or neutered. If the animal is too young a certificate for the spay/neuter is included in the adoption fee. Please CLICK HERE to complete our online adoption application.

Many of our animals can be seen at our adoption center located at 5820 Richmond Rd, Texarkana, TX on Saturdays between 10 am - 3 pm. To make arrangements to meet any of our animals, please call us at 1-877-525-4825, option 2.

Texarkana Animal League is a 501c3 non profit and all donations are tax deductible.

Keltie was dropped off on us with her other 5 siblings at only 2-3 weeks old. They didn't even have any teeth yet and had to be bottle-fed until I was able to teach them to drink from a bowl. They are so smart they learned fast and because of being bottle-fed and raised by people they are so very socialized and just the best puppies. They are calm, loving, outgoing and confident. They will make someone great dogs! They are just precious and now looking for their forever homes :)

Potential adopters can fill out our adoption application through our website. Approved adopters are required to sign an adoption contract.

All animals are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped.

More about this rescue

Texarkana Animal League (TAL) is a group of volunteers that is dedicated to improving the welfare of animals in our shelter & community. We operate out of a facility where both cats and dogs are sheltered until they find their forever home. Some of our animals are also in foster homes.

Our mission is to provide protection and care for abandoned, abused, neglected and unwanted companion animals. We also want to promote animal welfare through programs and services that mutually benefit animals and people.

All proceeds benefit animal care and adoptions, and assist with our community outreach programs such as a low-income spay/neuter assistance program (SNAP), as well as educational and service projects to assist TAL's belief that all animals are deserving of life, respect and care.

In 2017, we altered almost 300 animals in the community with our SNAP Program.
