My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cottonmouth!
Don’t let the name fool you—this girl is all sweetness and zero venom. Cottonmouth is one of the most patient pups around, known for her gentle heart, calm energy, and soulful eyes that will have you smitten in seconds.

She’s a quiet observer, but give her a treat and she’ll show you just how polite and trusting she is (yes, she’ll balance it on her nose like a pro!). Cottonmouth loves companionship and would thrive in a peaceful home where she can be your loyal shadow and cuddle buddy.

Looking for a kind, well-mannered companion who’s mastered the art of patience? Cottonmouth is ready to steal your heart—one gentle glance at a time.

More about this shelter

Pauls Valley Animal Welfare Society a 501c3 was formed to improve the problems of disease, overpopulation & abandonment of stray animals in Garvin County.
Our organization is made up of over 300 members who care about animals. It is an eclectic group varying in race, age, economic and professional levels and religious affiliations. We are, however, single-minded when confronting our community problems of animal cruelty and neglect, overpopulation and the humane treatment in which our strays and homeless dogs and cats are housed. Our goal is to relieve their suffering, do everything in our power to find them homes and provide a decent animal shelter for Garvin County.
