Meet Zonk:

Zonk, also a favorite PPP chonker, is the cat for you if you are looking for a calm, quiet, serious new friend!  Like his siblings Zeeria and Zera, Zonk was born at PPP a few weeks after his mother Ziva was rescued from the local kill pound.  He’s sat patiently and watched other cats get forever homes, including his own mother and a sibling or two.  It’s now his turn.  Zonk is a calm cat who loves to watch you work, occasionally stepping over to inspect what you’re doing and get his head scratch.  Like his brother and sister, he LOVES treats. He plays occasionally, in a gentle manner.  Zonk gets along with new cats when they arrives in a fairly short time.  He’s laid back, loves to be talked to and receive pets, and would make a great new addition to your family.

More about this rescue

Piedmont Pound Paws (PPP) began as a group of volunteers working together to find loving/responsible adopters or licensed rescues for animals that were unfortunate enough to find themselves in the city of Piedmont, MO kill pound. Over time, homeless pets in extended areas, often including the MO counties of Wayne, Reynolds, Iron, Butler, Carter, & Bollinger, were also helped. Today, we continue focused on the Piedmont area while educating the community and helping to find resources for low income families to responsibly care for their pets.
