Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sandy is a beautiful mix of fluff. Part Lab, part Yeti? Who's to say for sure. This gorgeous girl is 80+ pounds of love. As a senior, she has earned a life of leisure. She's looking for a home with plenty of comfy places to nap. Sandy is petrified of fireworks, and storms. She will need anti-anxiety meds. Combining fear with a healthy dose of curiosity which tempts her to explore, we strongly recommend Sandy have a yard with a high fence.
Our girl loves her some food and treats, and being tall has absolutely no problems countersurfing, so she'll need a door or an extra tall gate to keep her out of the kitchen.
Sandy gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home, but she does get growly when there are too many in close proximity.
She came to SAAP with some skin issues, but is all healed and looking for her forever home.

Additional adoption info

You are required to sign a legally binding contact on your new pet. As part of that contract, should you no longer be able to keep the animal for any reason, the animal MUST be surrendered back to SAAP. This is to ensure the animal is placed back in foster care while we secure a new approved home for the animal. However, we always try to ensure that the initial placement is best for the pet and your family. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption.

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non profit organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of animals that are in need of a forever home. Our animals are fostered in homes where we provide love, food, medical care and socialization until adoption into a new loving home. We educate on the importance of spaying and neutering of all pets.

We ensure all animals have been spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They are micro-chipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm and anti-flea medications (as age appropriate). They are ready and waiting to start their new life with their fur-ever family. Could that be you?

We need your help to continue our mission. We rely solely on donations and fundraisers. All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of your donation will go towards the rescue, care, and medical needs of the animals.
