***BEHAVIOR TEST***
Dog Test: (Okay with Dogs) Paulie has met a couple dogs here at the shelter and didn`t mind them.
Cat Test: (Okay with Select Cats) Paulie is bossy and likes to tell other cats off so a less dominate cat is ideal.
Kid Test: (Okay with Kids) Paulie is a sweet girl and would be okay with kids that understand cat behavior.
Litter Box Trained:(Uses Litter Box) Paulie keeps a clean kennel.
Energy Level: (Medium) Paulie is a beautiful black and white tuxedo American Curl with the sweetest personality. She loves people and enjoys plenty of pets and affection, though she prefers to keep her paws on the ground rather than being held. Paulie gets along well with other animals and has a playful side—she loves batting at toys and scratching on her post. When she’s not playing, you’ll find her lounging in a sunny spot, soaking up the warmth and relaxing in true cat fashion. Paulie is a loving, easygoing girl who would make a wonderful companion in a calm, caring home.

More about this shelter
We are a Municipal Animal Shelter for the City of Lee's Summit. We house animals brought in by Lee's Summit Animal Control Officers and Blue Springs Animal Control Officers.
Animals are also brought to us by owners that can no longer keep the animal or by strays that were impounded for running loose.
When an animal comes in as a stray, it is held for 5 days to give the owner a chance to claim it. If the owner does not claim it, on the 6th day it is put up for adoption or foster. During this 5 day holding period, if a potential adopter would like to adopt the animal, they are welcome to sign up on the adoption list. The names on the adoption list are contacted on the 6th day if no owner has made claim.
If there are no names on the adoption list, then the animal will become first come, first served when available for adoption.
