My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Currently located at our Evansville, IN location

Meet Tamera and her sister Tia! These two sweet ladies were found as strays in Spencer County and are now safe in ITV's care. At just 10 months old, they’re full of puppy love and curiosity.

With their adorable, unique looks, we’re guessing they might be a mix of St. Bernard and Basset Hound—a combo that’s as charming as it sounds!

They’re in need of a loving foster home where they can feel safe, warm, and loved while they wait for their forever families. Could you be their hero?

Apply to foster at ITVrescue.org today!

All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated, if necessary.

More about this shelter

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
