Remi is truly the whole package! She’s house trained (never had an accident!) and does wonderfully both free-roaming in the house or hanging out in her crate. While you’re away, she’ll happily nap until you get home.
She’s a gentle giant who adores children—her toddler buddy gets endless sweet kisses! Remi’s favorite hobbies include soaking up the sunshine, cuddling on the couch, belly rubs, car rides, and showing off her silly “happy twerk” when she’s excited. 🐾💃
Remi would thrive as the one-and-only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention. She’s good on leash, rides well in the car, and would be a loyal, loving companion for someone looking for a dog who’s sweet, snuggly, and also alert when needed.
Bonus? She’s a great conversationalist—this girl loves to talk and will happily greet you with her morning chatter. 🐶💬

The shelter is located at 589 Coolwater Drive in Bastrop Texas. Please come meet our pets Wednesday through Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm

The Bastrop Animal Control organization became a reality in 1998. We've grown since then and continue to do so as Bastrop County grows. Currently, we have 3 separate buildings containing a total of 90 large indoor/outdoor kennels and 8 play yards. We have 30 indoor cat kennels. We also have a 3 room cattery, that enables cats to live together in colony type environments until they find their forever home. If you have ever worked with or adopted a shelter pet, you know just how much they crave the attention and love we and our volunteers can provide and their eternal gratitude when they find their forever home at last.
