- River’s potential adopters must live in the Austin metro area. Adopters will participate in a slow adoption process with trainer support to ensure a successful transition.
- A fun, dedicated family or person who’ll stick to his trainer’s routines, set firm limits, and give him a buddy (furry or human) to bond with.
- River’s energy is best fit for kids older than 12 or adults.

Meet River, the rockstar doodle who’s ready to splash into your life with boundless energy and charm! This handsome, whip-smart pup is a trick-performing pro, always eager to show off his skills and soak up the spotlight. River’s a social butterfly, getting along with dogs big and small. If you’re more of a “cat” person, you will enjoy his independent streak. River adores playing with toys and exploring his environment. He will thrive best when his mind and body are both engaged and purposefully active. With a medium-to-high energy level, he’s perfect for active folks who love walks, runs, or backyard playtime, but he’s also a champ at chilling in his crate for downtime. Food-motivated and quick to learn, River makes good choices when given clear boundaries, though he’ll need an experienced owner committed to his training plan to help him shine.

River’s adoption fee is $600. He is HW negative, current on all vaccinations and HW/flea preventatives, neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like River Summit a second chance. Adopters are screened with an application for each dog. The adoption team chooses a potential adopter, and contacts them for a home visit. Meanwhile a vet check is done. Meet and greets are scheduled when everything checks out. If the prospective adopter wants to move forward, and the adoption team is in agreement, a contract with the requested fee is sent to the prospective adopter. Once the contract is signed and the fee paid, the dog will be transferred to the adopter. All medical records will be sent.
