Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kion has been in our care since March 2025 and is a quiet, thoughtful soul who prefers to take things in from the sidelines before jumping in. He carefully observes his surroundings, moving at his own pace as he builds confidence and trust. One thing that brings Kion comfort is his close bond with his feline friend, Nash. Although Kion and Nash are independent of each other, they find comfort in one another’s presence and would do best staying together. Kion would do best in a calm, patient home where he’s given the time and space he needs to settle in and truly shine. With kindness and understanding, he’ll reward his people with quiet companionship and a sweet presence.

More about this shelter
The Gananoque & District Humane Society (GDHS) is a volunteer run no kill animal shelter that takes in abandoned or surrendered animals, provides them with medical care and attempts to find them forever homes. Every animal that enters GDHS is quarantined, assessed and examined by a vet (if necessary), spayed or neutered, microchipped, and given vaccinations prior to being available for adoption. We do not receive guaranteed funding from any source and rely on the generosity of our community.
