Surely someone out there would love to adopt a cat like Chia. We rescued Chia, a young and beautiful Lynx Point Siamese mix, from the streets of Hamtramck this past spring and got her into New Beginnings Animal Rescue (NBAR). They covered her spay, vaccines, and care. Chia stayed at the rescue for months with no interest. ☹️
If you don’t know, NBAR is an amazing rescue with a wonderful building in Royal Oak where you can meet cats of all ages and personalities, from playful kittens to sweet seniors. But after several months there, Chia became stressed with so many families walking in and passing her by. 🥺 We’ve since taken her into foster care to give her a break and to learn more about her true personality.
Here’s what we know about her now:
❌ Chia does not like other cats. She needs to be the only kitty in the home.
❌ She does not enjoy being picked up.
⏱️ She loves to cuddle and snuggle with people, but only when she wants to. She will not do well with young kids who want constant attention from her.
🧶 She LOVES to play. Chia has endless zoomies, butt wiggles, and will chase wand toys around all day if you let her.
🏠 She needs a forever commitment. Once she bonds, she bonds hard. After everything she has been through, she deserves a home that will never fail her.
Chia is about 2.5 years old, fully vetted, and ready to find her final landing place. Could it be you?
