Meet your next adventure buddy! Beau is a 5 year old Retriever mix who loves people, kids, and small dogs. He is always up for an adventure, and travelled quite a bit in his previous home!

He has some basic obedience, is a professional fetch player, and is just an incredibly sweet dog. Beau loves the outdoors, his favorite place is the beach, but he also loves road trips and snow! Need a hiking buddy? He’s your guy! Have an active lifestyle that is missing a partner in crime? Look no further!

Within a few days of being here, he had already become a volunteer favorite! He is easy to walk, so fun to play with, and so fun to watch when he plays in the little pool!

Beau is a great dog, and deserving of an equally great home.

Dog adoptions include a written application and an on site interview. All family members, including other resident dogs, must meet the new dog.

The adoption process for cats and kittens includes:
A detailed application.
An interview with the potential adopter(s).
And a home visit, in some circumstances.

To ensure the best possible match for our cats and kittens, all applications are reviewed by our adoption committee and determination can take up to 48 hours.

We are an all-volunteer, no-kill, non-profit animal shelter formed in 1986 to find homes for the dogs, cats lost within our city limits. We are a California non-profit 501-C3 corporation # 33-0192138 so all donations are tax-deductible.

We are always in need of volunteers and have many areas in which you can share your talents. Please attend one of our volunteer classes to get started.
