My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Princess Peach, a 11-pound, 2 yrs old, Chihuahua-Terrier mix with a calm soul and a heart full of love to give.

She may be a bit shy at first, but don’t let that fool you—once she warms up, her gentle, sweet personality truly shines. If you’re looking for a quiet, devoted lap dog to share your days with, look no further. She is good with with children and all people.

Princess Peach enjoys the company of people and gets along well with other small dogs. While she is heartworm positive, she’s already received her ProHeart 12 injection and is well on her way to recovery. She will need a recheck at 6 months to monitor her progress and ensure she's continuing to improve. If your home and let her out regularly she does really good with pottying outside.

She’s spayed, up to date on all vaccines, and current on preventatives. All she needs now is a calm, loving home to call her own.

Adoption fee is: $400

ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.

Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
