My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Plum is a Patient Paw, please ask about their reduced adoption fee!**

Age: Adult

Meet Plum, a curious and active ball python with a taste for adventure (and appropriately sized frozen-thawed meals)! Plum is always on the move, exploring their enclosure and checking out what’s going on around them. They’d love a home that appreciates their inquisitive nature and can provide proper care, including a secure enclosure with temperature gradients, humidity control, and plenty of enrichment like hides and climbing branches. Ball pythons like Plum thrive on consistency and calm handling, and while they can be shy at times, their active personality makes them extra fun to watch and interact with. If you`re ready to welcome a scaly companion into your life, Plum is looking for a forever home that will help them feel safe, warm, and well-fed.

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
