My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Helga is a black and white domestic shorthair, 10+ years old, with a lot of personality. She’s very vocal and enjoys chatting with her people. She’s also easygoing and gets along well with other cats, dogs, and respectful kids.

She’s on daily thyroid medication (Felimazole), which she’ll need long-term. She also takes two other medications to support her comfort—these may be temporary and could be reduced or stopped once she’s in a stable home. Helga also requires regular baths to keep her coat and skin in good shape.

Helga is a friendly, adaptable senior looking for a calm, loving home where she can relax, be herself, and have her voice heard.

Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!
DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!!

Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances.

Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
