Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet, Gentlemanly, Spooky
Meet Mutton Jeff!
This handsome house void has little white flecks of fur in his black coat that look like a starry night sky. His foster thinks he has kind of a Tim Burton vibe going with his black fur, small skinny body, very angular face, and large eyes ‒ perfect for those who like to celebrate Halloween all year around!
While he’s not a big purrer, Mutton Jeff likes to follow his person from room to room, appropriate laps when possible, and is very curious about whatever you’re doing. He wants to be nearby at all times! If you’d like the most handsome shadow to follow you, he’s the cat for you. This friendly, happy, and cuddly boy somehow knows when it’s a good time for lap snuggles and when it’s better to just hang out nearby but he’ll be delighted to curl up in bed with you at the end of the day!
A true gentleman cat, he is considerate, respectful, and well-behaved. He really is a good boy as he’ll let his foster clip his nails, he doesn’t try to eat her food, doesn’t ever knock anything over, and only gets up on her lap when she’s not using her laptop.
Every now and then he’ll feel in the mood to play and pounce after some mouse toys or a feather toy. He’s very vocal around food time (he LOVES wet food). He’ll also greet you when you come home and respond with a meow if you call him.
Mutton Jeff has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It’s a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, “FeLVies” are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Mutton Jeff can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We’d love to talk with you about FeLV care.
This gentle, sweet boy can get spooked a little easily, so a quieter household might be better for him. He clearly loves people, so he’d love people to hang out with! If this darling void-flavored gentleman cat appeals to you, be sure to reach out today!
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
