Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Pico!
Are you looking for an adventure buddy who also loves to cuddle up on the couch with his person (or people)? Look no further than this sweet land seal. He’s a little over a year old, housebroken and crate trained, but definitely wants to sleep in your bed (or at least your room). His snuggles are next level and he can’t wait to show you! He is good with cats and with gentle kids. His foster family has a 1 year old who he is great with. He likes other dogs and loves to play with them. He knows “sit” and is working with his foster family on other commands. He definitely has some puppy energy left at times, but is also very laid back. He would do great in a home with a fenced yard, but that’s definitely not a requirement, as he does well on a leash, too. Pico would love to be your new best friend! Reach out to us for a meet and greet!te part of the day!
Pico is crate trained and settles in like a champ, making him a great companion for families on the go or anyone looking for a pup with good house manners. He’s also a fantastic car buddy—riding in the car is just another fun adventure for him.
Affectionate and gentle, Pico loves spending time with his people and is great with kids. His sweet nature makes him a wonderful family dog or loyal best friend. He’s still finding his stride and gaining confidence every day, but with a little love (and a few treats), he’s blossoming into the happy, healthy pup he was meant to be.
If you're looking for a snuggly, snack-loving sweetheart to join your crew, Pico is ready to ride shotgun into your heart. Submit an application today!

Found an animal on our site and want to meet them or find out more about them? Fill out the adoption questionnaire located below and submit to us. Once we have reviewed/approved your application, we will provide you with the foster contact information so that you can find out more and arrange a “meet and greet”. All of our animals are located in foster homes throughout the Triangle area.
When going to a “meet and greet”, please make sure you take any family members and other pets (if at all possible) to observe their interactions. This can make introduction into the new home easier for the animals and for you.
The animal’s foster parent will ultimately make a recommendation to the organization regarding the permanent placement of the animal. Once an adoption decision has been made by both parties, we ask for an adoption fee to help us cover spay/neutering, shots, medical treatment, food and supplies – this amount only partially cover the cost of expenses and allows us to help as many animals as possible!
What if the adoption doesn’t work out? We have a lifetime return policy on our animals as we don’t want to see them turned back into a shelter.
