Zora is a survivor in every sense of the word. Years ago, she was dumped in the hills of Kentucky and left to fend for herself. Somehow, she made it—despite the odds, despite the cruelty. She still carries the scars of her past, including BB gun pellets lodged in her body from being shot, but her heart remains full of love.

Now safe in our care, Zora is looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home where she can finally rest, heal, and be cherished. She’s incredibly sweet, gentle, and affectionate—she truly believes she’s a lap dog and just wants to be close to her people.

Zora is currently undergoing diagnostic testing to rule out any underlying health conditions before her spay. Due to her history and natural caution, a secure fenced yard is a must for her safety and comfort.

She’s been through more than most dogs ever should, but she still trusts, still loves, and is ready for a soft place to land. Could that be with you?
