My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Caterpillar has every trait you expect and want in a kitty the color of light brown sugar. He is sweet and kind, he has the "go limp" ragdoll trait when kids pick hiim up. He is an amazing combination of playfull and marshmallow soft sweetness. He approaches people with soft eye contact and makes a little meep for attention. And then he is on your lap, chest or shoulder giving nuzzles and purring. Cream tabby boys are the upgrade from orange tabby because it lightens the red-headed intensity into softness that is all directed at love.

He has the perfect foster home to enrich his already wonderful personality. He lives with an experienced foster family that has many other cats to learn from, a big silly dog and a world that is designed for kitties. He travels to work with his foster mom which helps him learn to travel in a car and see new plces but even better meet so many new people and especially children. He is showing great instinct with people - plays or cuddles to different people he meets. He is also impressively calm and gentle with other kitties.

Caterpillar was found lost/stray in houston and scooped up by a rescuer, then we were able to take him at Austin Siamese Rescue, he lives in a foster home.

Additional adoption info

Interested adopters go through a careful screening process to include reference checks, telephone interviews, and where appropriate, home visits. No cat will be placed in a new home which allows cats to go outside. The adoptive owners agree to give Austin Siamese Rescue, Inc. the option of reclaiming the cat, should the adoption not work to the advantage of the new owner and the cat.

Adoption fees for Austin Siamese Rescue, Inc. range from $100 to $225 and include such vet work as combo test, vaccinations, worming and flea control, and microchip. We spay or neuter all of our cats prior to placement and most of our kittens, depending on their size and readiness.

Founded in 2007, Austin Siamese Rescue is a dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on rescuing and rehoming Siamese cats and their non-Siamese companions. Our goal is to provide a safe haven for cats from various backgrounds, including shelters, abandoned, and neglectful situations, as well as those whose guardians can no longer care for them.

All of our cats are cared for in private homes by dedicated volunteers who offer their time and love to ensure each cat receives the best possible care. We are committed to finding loving, permanent homes where these cats can thrive and be cherished for the rest of their lives.
