My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Echo is a sweet approximately 15 months old pup who was rescued from a high kill Animal Shelter of Texas, where she spent a long time cooped up. She got lucky due to her sweet disposition. She was a shelter favorite.

Echo is a very sweet and calm girl who loves her humans. She lives with both dogs and cats, and usually does not bother them as she is velcro and finds her humans to follow. She would do good as an only pet, getting all the attention and affection.

She is laidback and obedient.

She is also highly trainable as she is a quick learner. A home with a fully fenced yard would be mandatory for her, as well as a family who can dedicate time, patience and love.

Echo is currently about 45 pounds. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. She is heartworm negative and kept on heartworm and flea preventative. Her adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, Harness, leash, and Interstate Health Certificate for our out of state adopters.

Sweet Echo is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, and even Canada for the right home. To meet this gorgeous girl via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com

Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences.

Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, and the ones who are taken to our shelters, where they are euthanized if they are not rescued or adopted. By adopting one of our pups, you are actually saving two lives - the one they adopt, the one who takes their space in the foster home.

More about this rescue

Our animal rescue section has been organized with very compassionate and dedicated volunteers whose only goal is to save a pet.
Each day hundreds of healthy, adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized in the kill-shelters of America. In Houston itself, we have the largest population of strays and our shelters are full with strays and abandoned animals including those surrendered by their owners because of reasons such as unwillingness to take care of them, pregnancy, divorce, loss of job, loss of home, prison intake, loss of compassion, empathy, you name it. Add to this, are abandoned pets on the side of the street by owners. Our mission is to give these puppies another chance at love and life. If every person will stop buying from breeders and adopt a shelter pet and spay and neuter them, we will be able to eradicate our euthanasia problem.
