Riley is gorgeous 4-year-old rough-coated sable mahogany collie. He is a strong-minded dog who needs an extremely savvy adopter…preferably someone who has worked with and/or trained dogs that feel they need to be in charge. Riley is unique in that he is very happy and loving with his people, yet also very protective.
He should go to a home with no small children and no small animals. And it is highly recommended that Riley does not run free in a dog park and has minimum public walking exposure until he has more intensive training.
Riley is totally house trained, and crate trained and would be wonderful in a home with an easy-going female dog who will help him feel secure. Riley would not only flourish but become a star collie with someone who has actually worked with and trained very smart alpha dogs.
