Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This petite beauty is about a year old and has a gentle soul that just needs the right home to truly shine.
Her name is Carmen, and she is a quiet, affectionate girl—once she feels safe. She’s a bit shy at first, but with a little patience, she opens up to show her sweet and loving side. Her foster mom can scoop her up for cuddles, and Carmen truly enjoys affection when she trusts you.
She’s not particularly interested in other cats, and she completely ignores the dogs in her foster home. Carmen is more of a loner, content to keep to herself, which makes her an ideal companion for someone looking for a calm, low-maintenance feline friend.
Her current foster home is bustling with other animals and activity, which can be overwhelming for her. We believe Carmen would thrive in a quiet, peaceful environment with someone who understands that love takes time to grow. She just needs a soft place to land—and someone who sees her for the lovely little cat she is.
Could you be Carmen’s safe space? 🐾. She is up-to-date on shots and has already been spayed and microchipped, so she is ready to go to her perfect fur-ever home!

After you complete an application, there are several things that we will do:
1. We will check your personal references. Please be sure to list two personal references and include a phone number and an email address. (form asks for one; but I like two)
2. If you do not own your place of residence, we will call your landlord or leasing office. Please check with them first to learn about their pet policy.
3. We will call your veterinarian for a reference. We are looking for a history of annual exams, vaccines maintained routinely, annual heartworm tests and monthly preventatives. We require the following:
* All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered.
* If your pet is not up to date on vaccines, please do not submit the application until you have scheduled an appointment with the vet to get your pets current on their vaccines.
4. If you are a 1st-time pet owner, please include the name and phone number of the veterinarian you plan to use.
5. Be sure to call your Vet(s), giving them permission to speak with us.
6. We may need to do a home visit prior to approving your application, or post-adoption.
If these policies and practices are not acceptable, please do not apply.
