Brutus is a beautiful boa constrictor who came to us after being surrendered to one of our partner shelters. He had been abandoned with his previous owner's roommate and arrived severely underweight and in need of specialized care. Thankfully, he was transferred to us, and we’ve been working on getting him back to a healthy weight with consistent meals and proper husbandry.
We don’t know much about Brutus's history, but he’s been tolerant of handling so far and is currently eating frozen/thawed rats like a champ. As he continues to gain strength, we’re hopeful he’ll blossom into a confident and thriving snake.
Brutus will need a spacious and secure enclosure that allows him to fully stretch out and thermoregulate properly. If you have experience with large constrictors—or are ready to learn—Brutus might just be the perfect companion for you.
