MEET SHEENA, a petite 5-year-old shepherd-mix girl in need of a foster or forever home. She weighs only about 30 lbs. Sheena was rescued from a scary California shelter awhile back. She possibly wouldn't have gotten out, but the shelter gave our rescue the wrong dog, so it was her lucky day! (The other dog got out, too, and has since been adopted.) Sheena is a shy but sweet girl. Once she trusts you, she will be your golden girl. She loves human attention and affection, and giving hugs. Change is a bit hard for her, so she needs someone patient and understanding in the beginning. Sheena would do best in a quiet home with an adult or adults who will love her and give her time to feel secure. Once she bonds, she bonds hard will reward you 100-fold. She gets along well with some dogs but would thrive as the only dog in the home, where she can get all the focus and attention. Sheena is very deserving of a home and is a sweet, affectionate girl. These dogs are being fostered in Idaho. We are a registered 501c3 animal rescue organization in the State of California. We adopt out dogs in Southern California and in the Pacific Northwest, and in some cases we work with rescue partners in specific locations, to help facilitate adoptions.
