Alvin is a darling Chihuahua–Pomeranian mix who has been patiently waiting for his chance at a forever home. At just under 2 years old, Alvin is one of our longest residents, and while shelter life has been a little overwhelming for him, he continues to show quiet, meaningful progress every day.
Alvin is a very shy, sensitive boy who needs time to feel safe in new environments. He may not be the dog who rushes right up to you—but give him patience and kindness, and you’ll be rewarded. Once Alvin trusts you, his sweet personality shines. He’s recently started happily jumping into the laps of a few trusted volunteers, and watching his confidence grow has been incredibly special.
Because of his gentle nature, Alvin would be an excellent foster-first candidate. A calm, loving home would allow him to decompress and truly blossom into the companion we know he can be. He’s an easy, low-key boy who doesn’t cause any issues—just a soft-hearted dog looking for someone willing to take a chance on him.
Alvin is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, and ready for the next chapter of his life. If you have a little patience and a big heart, Alvin would love nothing more than the opportunity to prove how special he is.

We are looking for responsible, warm-hearted people to give our dogs the wonderful homes they deserve. Our adoption process is thorough but fast. We focus on making the best match between you and the right dog. To adopt, you will need to:
1. Complete the Adoption Application.
2. Meet the dog you want to adopt.
3. Show proof that you can have a dog in your home (lease, mortgage, letter from landlord).
4. Sign our Adoption Agreement and pay an Adoption Fee.
