Here's what the humans have to say about me:
***REQUIRED*** Patches must be adopted to a home that already has a dog. She's happiest with other dogs!
Patches is a 2½-year-old Shih Tzu with a sweet soul and a quiet charm. This little lady is friendly, gentle, and has all the makings of a devoted companion. She’s crate trained, sleeps peacefully through the night, and is this close to being fully housebroken.
Patches is on the quieter side — she only speaks up when she has something to say, like letting you know it’s cuddle time. She gets along well with other dogs but doesn’t necessarily need a canine buddy to be happy. That said, she would likely thrive in a home with another dog and in a quieter environment overall. She would not do well in an apartment or a busy city setting. What she really wants is someone to love and stick close to.
She’s not spayed yet, but that will be taken care of through our vetting process.
If you're looking for a sweet, steady, and affectionate best friend, Patches may be the one for you.
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications!
2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better.
3. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply. However, please note we do prioritize local applications as we try our best to serve our local community first.)
4. Please respect our organization, our volunteers and our process. As a reminder, our organization is a nonprofit. We receive no money from the state. We have no paid employees! This is a polite reminder that we are doing our best to make the right decisions for the animals in our care. Thank you.
