My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wow, what a difference a bit of love and time can make! If you’ve ever ended up in an unfamiliar place and felt scared, you may have found that kind and helpful people made all the difference for you. We think Budd felt the same way upon entering the shelter! After arriving in the shelter, Budd completely shut down. You could tell that he was very confused as to how he ended up here and he would not walk on a leash or engage with people. He was scared and extremely unsure. But today he is a happy, cuddly, confident, friendly dog who has completely come out of his shell!

Here`s what some of his volunteer friends have said:

“Budd is so happy when people come to his kennel door to take him out! He greets his volunteer friends with a waggy tail and a happy face. He`s still getting used to being leashed up, but he walks over to the play yard very easily and once in the yard he is a huge love-bug and a giant squishy baby!! He does so well with his bouncy young kennel mate and his favorite place to be is next to his person getting his chin scratched! He is a doll!”

“Budd is just a big lovable marshmallow. He loves affection and loves treats, which he takes gently. He was easy to leash up and walked pretty well all on his own; I just had to go slow and let him set the pace.”

Budd shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been social and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup.

Budd is a big guy who is looking for a family who will help him to lose some extra weight and gain healthy habits so that he can love his furever humans for many years to come! Come meet this big squishy marshmallow of a pup today!
