Have you ever wanted your very own fluffy orange shadow? Then look no further than Louie! Louie was dumped still in his carrier on a street in the Bronx, with open wounds, matted fur, and a raging upper respiratory infection, before being fortunately found and rescued by a cat colony caretaker. But despite whatever he went through before he came to Anjellicle, Louie still deeply wants to be with people. He will follow you from room to room just to be near you, happily nap beside you while you work from home, be your sentient weighted blanket when you're watching tv on the couch, and curl up in bed with you at night. Throw in a nice window to gaze out of and some daily playtime with a wand toy, and he's a happy boy. He's such a sweetheart (he even loves being carried around!), with just enough spunkiness to keep things interesting! He must go to a home with another feline friend to keep him active and entertained and will coexist with calm dogs. Louie was born around 4/15/2021.

Additional adoption info
Once you've filled out an application, we will contact your references and put you in touch with the foster/caregiver of the cat. Once your application is approved, we schedule you to attend a Zoom group seminar on cat care. We invite both novice and experienced alike to attend. Then you would sign the adoption agreement, pay the adoption fee, and make arrangements for the cat to be moved to your home. We always do a home visit which is both reassuring to the cat when it is being introduced and to the foster who has taken care of the cat. Presently we are doing home visits with FaceTime or Zoom to confirm you have secure windows, no toxic plants and a generally safe environment for a cat. The adoption fee is $150 for one cat under 7 years old, $75 for one cat 7 years and older.
All cats have been tested for the Feline Leukemia and FIV virus, vaccinated (FVRCP and Rabies vaccines), microchipped, dewormed and spayed/neutered. If you adopt kittens that are too young to be altered, we will arrange the spay/neuter/microchip at a later date at a partner vet.
