My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Thalia, a stunning, affectionate beauty with a playful spark and star-quality charm. Incredibly photogenic and full of personality, Thalia loves being the center of attention and will happily “ham it up” for pets, praise, and cuddles. She’s the perfect blend of snuggly lap cat and energetic playmate—just as content curled up in your lap as she is chasing toys across the room. Thalia thrives on human affection and adores being held, rubbing up against her people, soaking up pets, and settling in for cozy cuddle sessions. But don’t be fooled by her sweet side—this girl can play! As the only female in her litter, she learned early how to keep up with the boys and would do best in a home with another playful male cat to wrestle, romp, and burn off energy with. Balls are her absolute favorite, and she never misses a chance for an interactive play session. Raised indoors from just a few days old in a loving foster home with both cats and dogs, Thalia is well-socialized, confident, and comfortable in lively environments. She is currently charming visitors at Kokoro Cat Café, where she enjoys the company of her friends Gregg, Gemini, and Gary, and would be happy to go home with one of them or into a home with a fun-loving feline companion. Born around July 13, 2024, Thalia is ready to bring beauty, playfulness, and endless affection to her forever home.

Additional adoption info

Once you've filled out an application, we will contact your references and put you in touch with the foster/caregiver of the cat. Once your application is approved, we schedule you to attend a Zoom group seminar on cat care. We invite both novice and experienced alike to attend. Then you would sign the adoption agreement, pay the adoption fee, and make arrangements for the cat to be moved to your home. We always do a home visit which is both reassuring to the cat when it is being introduced and to the foster who has taken care of the cat. Presently we are doing home visits with FaceTime or Zoom to confirm you have secure windows, no toxic plants and a generally safe environment for a cat. The adoption fee is $150 for one cat under 7 years old, $75 for one cat 7 years and older.

All cats have been tested for the Feline Leukemia and FIV virus, vaccinated (FVRCP and Rabies vaccines), microchipped, dewormed and spayed/neutered. If you adopt kittens that are too young to be altered, we will arrange the spay/neuter/microchip at a later date at a partner vet.

More about this rescue

Anjellicle Cats Rescue is an all-volunteer registered 501c3 cat rescue committed to helping make New York a no-kill city. As one of the most active cat rescues in the 5 boroughs, ACR is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and adopting out homeless cats and kittens, many of which are sick, injured or dismissed as unadoptable. Through a coalition of volunteer advocates and caregivers, each rescued cat is welcomed with kindness and medical care into a foster home with the goal of adoption into a permanent, loving home.
