Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This sweet girl is gaining more confidence every day. She is approximately 1 year old and is approx 55 lbs lbs. She was DNA tested and her two primary breeds are Doberman Pinscher and American Bulldog (photo of DNA results posted).
She loves children and other dogs. When we first met her, she was terrified of new people. She is still working on her confidence, and can take a little bit of time to warm up to new people, which is a common Doberman trait. Once she has decided that you are safe, she has a lot of love to give!
She currently lives at a doggy day care and has also lived with children in past foster homes. Honey has some challenges that will require her to have a very patient and loving forever home.
She is able to jump fences. In her previous foster home, this was an issue if she became bored. However, in a doggy day care setting, she has not attempted any fence jumping. She would be best in a home with other high energy dogs who can match her play.
Honey does well in a crate if her energy needs are met. If left out, she can be destructive.
Currently, we cannot say that Honey is 100% potty trained, and it is a work in progress. While these are certainly challenges, we know that the right owner is out there!
She knows sit, paw, and fetch. She is still very much a puppy and has many puppy behaviors.
She will add a lot of sweetness to someone's life! Honey is dewormed, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative.

More about this rescue
We are a small non-profit rescue focused on the 4.77 square mile town of Speedway, Indiana, home of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Our goal is to make Speedway a no-kill town where every animal is spayed/neutered, microchipped and properly cared for. We rescue all animals taken to the town's Animal Control facility. We assist owners in need with veterinary care and food/supplies. We help trap-neuter-release feral cat colonies and socialize/adopt kittens under 3 months old.
Due to limited resources, we are unable to accept animals from outside the town's boundaries at this time.
