My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Moby – Your New Best Friend in a Pint-Sized Package!

Looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s as happy on the trail as he is on the couch? Meet Moby, a 2-year-old, 31-pound Pittie Terrier mix with a heart as big as his adorable white chest patch! This sweet boy is one of the most affectionate and good-natured pups you’ll ever meet. He's gentle with people and never meets a stranger!

Moby is a dream on a leash—he prefers to walk on your left, takes his time to sniff the world and stomp through puddles, and politely leans toward passersby in hopes of making new friends, all while keeping his cool. He’s also shown great potential as a running buddy, naturally syncing his pace to yours with ease. He does get nervous around bikes and objects with tires that may squish him, so he will need help not reacting to those things!

A car ride enthusiast, Moby hops right in, settles quickly, and loves to watch the world roll by. At home, he’s playful and curious—he enjoys a good game of fetch, sniffing around the yard, and learning new tricks (he already knows "sit" and is very treat-motivated!). He especially enjoys rope toys that lead to interactive play with his human!

This handsome guy is a star in public, too. He’s calm and well-mannered during outings, whether it’s relaxing at a patio lunch or sitting like a gentleman at a coffee shop while savoring a puppuccino. Moby is especially fond of ear rubs and soaks up affection like a sponge.

Moby does still have some puppy tendencies and needs to be watched in the house until he learns what is his and not his to chew on; however, he is easily redirected! He will need someone who can give him physical and mental stimulation because he does have some energy. He would make THE best adventure buddy!

Ready to fall in love? Come meet Moby and see just how quickly he’ll steal your heart.

As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines.
