Elsie is a sweet and playful little girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Found with her parents and siblings being lovingly cared for by a homeless couple, this cutie is now ready to zoom her way into your life!
She’s got the most adorable high-pitched cry when she’s excited—think happy squeaks of pure joy! Elsie lives for attention and will happily soak up all the love you’ve got. She's got high energy and is always ready for action—her favorite move? Epic zoomies around her dog friends! She gets along well with other pups, though she’s a little more cautious around the big dogs (small body, big feelings!).
Elsie also has some hilarious quirks—she nudges her food around and eats one piece at a time like a tiny food critic. Sometimes she even hides it in her blanket for later. She loves her dog bed, adores treats, and brings a perfect mix of silly energy and snuggly sweetness.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..
If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.
