My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

After their whole litter was diagnosed with parvo, Panda and Tofu made amazing quick recoveries and have since been healthy, amazing puppies! They love playing with their foster sisters all day long and playing endless rounds of bitey face with each other when the older dogs are done playing. They are beginning to go into their crate on their own when we say “time to get in your bed”. They are both quiet once in the crate and sleep through the night. When they are crated and the humans return home, they have the loudest husky woo’s and howls you’ll ever hear! Tofu is louder and can be a silly talker at other times through the day.

Their favorite activity is collecting all of the toys in the house and yard, and making a pile of toys on their dog bed so they have endless choices to play with. They both love a good belly rub and cuddling with their humans. They are both smart, good listeners who will be easy to train into perfect companions. Tofu is:

  • Working on house training
  • Crate trained
  • Kids unknown (hasn't been around them)
  • Great with other dogs

More about this rescue

Mission: To rescue, rehabilitate, and find qualified loving homes for neglected, abused, and unwanted Huskies throughout Texas. To educate the public about responsible pet ownership and the special qualities of the Siberian Husky Breed.

History: Texas Husky Rescue, Inc. was created in May 2009 as a non-profit 501(c)3 animal rescue organization that is run entirely by volunteers and does not have a paid staff or a shelter. Texas Husky Rescue, Inc relies solely on volunteer foster families to take huskies into their homes until permanent, qualified, and loving homes can be found. Texas Husky Rescue, Inc. is a responsible animal adoption agency and requires that all dogs over 6 months are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We ensure that none of our dogs will ever contribute to the overpopulation of dogs in our community. The work of Texas Husky Rescue, Inc. is supported by tax-deductible contributions by individuals, corporations, and grants.
