My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, microchip, rabies and other core vaccinations. Please complete an adoption application at https://www.asvtexas.org/adoption-application.html.

Penny was abandoned at a local veterinary clinic as a sick puppy, having parvo. After treatment, she recovered well and ended up in the hands of her foster. Penny was a nervous girl, never knowing what it’s like to have a home. Penny adjusted very quickly, she loves the company of her 5 foster siblings, she is submissive but loves to play with everyone, from puppies to the seniors, she does well with all ages. Her favorite housemates are cats however, she follows them around, licking them any chance she gets! Even during dinner, she will happily share her food with anyone who comes in for a taste, even when i tell her it’s just for her. Penny loves people, always wanting to snuggle and hug, she is just so grateful and happy to receive any attention and love. This girl would do great in any home, she loves to sleep on the couch with everyone or play outside in the sun!

ASVT does not have a facility; all of our adoptable pets live in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted. No one takes a salary so all donations and grants are used for the rescue animals.

The adoption is NOT FINAL until the animal is spayed/neutered. A refundable deposit of $100.00 for dogs ($50 for cats) will be collected at time of adoption and returned when the pet has been spayed or neutered.

The adoption fee covers the spay/neuter surgery, core vaccinations, including rabies, and a microchip.

More about this rescue

ASVT is made up entirely of volunteers who love animals and advocate for healthy animals and adoption.

We transport dogs to shelters and rescues with high rates of adoption shelters for adoption.

We facilitate local adoptions by taking pets to local businesses and events for adoption fairs.

We provide medical care for ill/injured animals.

ASVT gladly accepts donations for our transport program, animal supplies (beds, cages, fencing, etc.) and for medical care. Thank you!
